Review market events influencing the management of quality of patient care in the U.S. health care system

Discuss whether implementing Best Practices Guidelines actually improve clinical outcomes

Outline the business case for quality improvement

Discuss case studies on managing quality and cost

Speaker Bio

Dr. Ikeda is the Medical Director, Coronary Intensive Care Unit at Sutter Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Ikeda attended Univeristy of Washington and completed a residency program at the University of Hawaii.

Dr. Ikeda is board certified in the areas of Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.  Dr. Ikeda is also a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of American.
